I want the staff to remain intact. F it ! We didn't can him. Give him that extra year. After we struggle on offense again, there won't be any excuses to keep him. Les has already "hit the iceberg", now he's taking on water.

hanging offenses isn't easy and it takes 2-3 years to do correctly
OU dramatically changed their offense in one year and look at the wonder that turned into.
These college systems aren't amazingly complex.

Please SELU don't hire BDP if Ron Roberts leaves.

BDP can be replaced with an orange highway cone.....

That's such horse shite! If the defense would have been at least decent we may beat ole miss and arky! Back in the day when our defense held opponents to 14 pts or less our offense was built to score enough points. Now, our O can't score enough to overcome 30+ points.
DEFENSE IS THE PROBLEM!!!
What you don't understand is flow of the game.. LSU gave up more points in games last year than even this year..
The defense made enough stops to be competitive.. but the offense constantly stalled... a turnover also contributed to a walk in score.. LSU was far too stagnant. The oline was getting abused..
Look at the Ole Miss/Arkansas and the Mississippi St/Arkansas games... look at those scores.. Now that was bad D.
It's silly to look at total numbers or total yards.. those don't tell the whole story.. Often times in a blowout the opposing D will give up easy yards.. and eventually a non factoring late TD.. heck our D was even doing this early in the season.
The D could have been better, but the offensive line was the worst when we finally face equal or better talent..

really doubt any changes are made. miles has no heat on him now.
Not sure why anyone would think he has no heat. He came about as close to getting fired as you can without actually getting fired. There's plenty of pressure on him to update the offense. I think he's out after next year unless he wins the secw and/or beats Bama.

TCU did it in one year..
Patterson got out the way and they changed philosophy.. They were just a defensive, low scoring team.

I have played. People here can verify.
And as for complaining about 12-1, do you even 1-9-12 bro?

Exactly, there are several examples of an offense shifting schemes and being successful from one season to another. The key is you have to be aware of the types of athletes you have and work the offensive talent around the scheme.

You hire who you trust not who can draw up a pass or whatever.
I could give 2 shits if Miles trusts his new OC. Matter of fact, I'd prefer if he didn't and just stood on the sidelines doing nothing and took his massive check with a smile.

If Les has to drop his BFF Cam and Ball, he can bring in Henson as WR coach and Loeffer as OC. Perfect.

I don't think Steele is *that* bad.
I think special teams being so bad is what makes defense seem horrible to most people. We're used to special teams making TDs for us. Not happening anymore.
If we could get our special teams back at 2011 level and a mildly capable offense I don't think Steele's defense would be much of a hindrance.

D had its moments both good and bad. Depth hurt; need to play MOAR man. Field position was a killer at times too thanks to the WOAT BDP.
I'm okay with steele returning. I mean frick it, Miles is coming back so may as well fire up the grill and start rubbing the steaks

The Fisher thing was torpedoed from the LSU side, wasn't it?

but what about Pep Hamilton?
Pep Hamilton is from the Harbaugh/Stanford school. Utilize a varied running game, throw efficiently and take a few shots down the field.
It's a possession offense built on power running and efficiency in the passing game. A West-Coast offense with 2-TE's.
It would make for an easy transition: things can't get much worse, but the passing game could get substantially better.
