You don't think his ego took a hit these past 2 weeks?

This has nothing to do with the OP.

too much ego and stubbornness does not = "untouchable".
If anything, the actions of certain TAF supporters, BOS members, and Alleva only CONFIRMED what we should have known...that is....
Miles has been on a tight leash since last year when Alleva sent a signal that he wasn't supporting Miles long-term by keeping Chavis happy & secure enough to stay the course with LSU.....leaving Miles minimal time, money, and options to secure the best DC going forward....lucky to get Steele under such circumstances.
The last 3 weeks have only put a heavy nail in Miles' coffin, because recruits (at a minimum) are spooked...so, unless they are 100% LSU committed (regardless of coach), they may not come to LSU. Same goes for recruiting great coaches to replace the ones we'd like to "improve upon". It will be "thin pickings" unless the LSU administration reverses course on "the Miles clause".
Miles' job just got twice as hard to do because of all of this - not saying there was any other outcome than a massive "come to Jesus" with the whole world watching....but, it's hard to me believe it couldn't have been handled a bit more professionally.
