The answer is Jesuit.

I think it's Jesuit also.

From 8th grade thru 12th grade (public schools), my son went to state rally every year. He won state in English twice, and once in Trig/Advanced Math. (You can only go in one subject per year, so he was only allowed to go in Math once.) I know he also placed 2nd and 3rd several times several times in other subjects.

He knew almost all of the other school's best competitors. Brother Martin always did well as did Ben Franklin. At that particular time many of their best students came from public middle schools like Rudolph Matas Elementary / Haynes Middle before attending Brother Martin.

My son took three semesters of Calculus at Tulane during his Junior and Senior years of High School. He thought he would get a Tulane scholarship by setting the curve in three consecutive Calculus classes. The test average was typically 50 and he would score 100+ (bonus questions).

When he got a scholarship to UNO and decided to live in the dorm, his first three roommates were all Jesuit National Merit Semi-Finalists. Every one of them got a 0.0 GPA in their first semester at college. You just can't make this shite up.

From what I gather, Jesuit spends quite a while preparing their students for college acceptance testing. Maybe they prepared their students to do well in the tests, but coddling kids really doesn't prepare them for the real world.

This is so ignorant I'm not even really sure why I'm bothering to reply to it.

So Tulane didnt offer a scholarship to your son because he was smarter than Tulane students while still in HS? I would think thats who you would want to offer a scholarship to.

When you get a 0.0 in college it doesnt mean you are stupid, it means you dont fricking care about school.
