Anyone Ever Take "Single Living" Class in High School?

I don't think they offer it anymore, but it was basically Home EC for guys. You took it as part of a shop or ag class.
Essentially, it was how not to die after leaving your mama's house. Here's how you write a check, here's how you make spaghetti, here's how you vaccuum, here's how you clean a toilet.
Best damn class I ever took. Still use what I learned on the daily.
Was something similar offered in Louisiana?

I never took it but I wish I could have
Lots of little skills guys need to learn but often don't -- how to sew on a button, ironing, shopping for groceries, basic cooking
I've read that when you change the name from "Home Economics" (is that even offered any more?) to "Bachelor Living" or somesuch the number of guys taking the class skyrockets

What? I learned all this stuff when my parents made me do it as a kid.

Is this the class where they teach you how to tie a tie, shake hands properly, and look at someone when you speak?

Yeah.
I hated that class.

Not exactly, but we had a class in 8th grade that was a little bit of that, plus some etiquette and health (minus the sex ed part, of course. It was Louisiana, after all.) IIRC it was half a year of regular science, and half a year of the other stuff.

Nah, I pay help to do that stuff.

Home EC class was required in my middle school in SC.
Didn't have a class like this offered in HS. Sounds interesting

Do they teach you how to cope with crippling depression by jerking off to facebook pics of girls who turned you down in high school?
