Tonight, Tiger Stadium says goodbye to a legend

Tonight, Tiger Stadium and thousands of LSU fans around the state and country will say goodbye to a legend.
After more than 30 years as serving as "the voice" of LSU, Jim Hawthorne returns to the booth for one final game in what is sure to be an emotional night for him and everyone in the booth with him.
His career has included some of the most unforgettable moments in school history, which includes a 21-14 win over Oklahoma in the 2003 BCS Championship Game as well as the 38-24 victory over Ohio State in the 2007 national title contest.
Hawthorne has called 22 bowl games for the Tigers and he was behind the microphone for the “Earthquake Game” against Auburn in 1988, the 28-21 win over No. 1 Florida in Tiger Stadium in 1997, and the “Game of the Century” in 2011 when top-ranked LSU kicked a field goal in overtime to beat No. 2 Alabama, 9-6, in Tuscaloosa.
I strongly urge Tiger Fans everywhere (win or lose) to tune in tonight to hear him sign off on 98.1 in Baton Rouge or 105.3 in the New Orleans area at the conclusion of the game.
