The Miles Situation has been very paralyzing. I hope it is resolved soon.

I don't like the perception of this on the national stage and on the local stage. There is a lot of speculation, yet nothing concrete. It has even paralyzed this board and other boards as people like me, are pontificating and recycling stuff but there is no idea where it is going on. There is silence at the top, which may be a good thing. Alleva may come off as a genius or a goat on this. The pressure is off of Miles and directly on Alleva. I hope he and the powers that me know what they are doing. There is no way that they can stick their tail between their legs and have Miles return for 2016. I don't see how they recruit effectively after that as this and next year is a banner year in Louisiana. The damage has been done. They must act to mitigate the damage.
The saving grace is that Alabama was in this shape at the end of 2006 before Saban arrived and Rodriguez had turned them down. Florida looked like a dumpster fire just last year. They made a good hire in McElwain, which at the time did not exactly excite their base, but I don't think they would go back now. If Jimbo doesn't come to Baton Rouge, Tom Hermann may end up being LSU's McElwain next year. Let's hope that LSU gets this right.
I am just saddened that Les Miles's era could not end better. I hope one day that LSU can properly honor Les Miles for his service and that he has his rightful place in LSU and Louisiana's Sports Hall of Fames as well as a statue in his honor along with Dietzel and Saba (when he is no longer coaching)

Keep Miles, hire Chip Kelly as OC with full control. Problem solved. Lol
I'll stop drinking now.

1. Nothing definite yet that Miles is staying or leaving. We *think* there's a good chance he might be leaving, but...
2. Who's to say Alleva/LSU haven't already worked something out with MIles and a new incoming HC, or it's in the works?
3. Keeping quiet may be good thing (for now). I know it puts many fans on edge, but be patient.

Statues are creepy in my opinion.

Miles has coached LSU to a National Championship and two SEC Titles and won 110 games. He along with Dietzel and Saban should be recognized for their accomplishments. It should be done when the particulars are no longer coaching. It is called tradition and class.

So you want it resolved before the end of the season? That's not how these things work. Be patient, grasshopper.

Is that some sort of edgy sign off?

What better way to emulate Alabama than to deify a coach?
