Of course he's right. He knows football. He played it once with friends. He knows Louisiana , he knows who Lsu's next coach will be. He can read into the future 11 years. Impressive

No Scott Van Belt is not right If the tables were turned and Alabama had the same record under Saban or any other coach they would be doing the same thing. Except the national media would be talking about "The Bear" and "Gene Stallings" and the high standards of Alabama. Not their spoiled fan base. But at LSU we are supposed to be happy to be a perennial second, third or fourth since 2011. The national media constantly talks about 110-32 as the record. But that is not the point. Look at the trending of the program over the last 5 years, look at the conference record, look at the talent vs the result, look at the number of players contributing on NFL rosters and how we did not even compete for the SEC or National Championship in those years, look at the inability to recruit and develop a quarterback, look at the fact that Bama brought in Lane Kiffen and modernized their offense, the fact that Saban realizes he has to score more points because offenses are changing and defense can't win every game anymore. Even when they shut teams completely down they are scoring 30 plus points not 17 or 20 with a score by the defense. Guys like Scott Van Pelt don't take into account the entire picture. Look at some of the past coaches at Bama who had really good records overall but were forced out because they couldn't beat Auburn every year. Why does the national media expect LSU to accept a lessor standard than is set at Alabama and some other programs and why should we. I like Les as a person. I don't hate the guy. He has been a good ambassador for the program, school and state. He treats people with respect everywhere he goes but this program is going in the wrong direction and I have not heard one thing from Les in the last 3 weeks that would lead me to believe that any kind of changes are coming with regard to how this team functions. And the TAF should not have to go to Les and tell him to get rid of this coach or that coach or stay out of the offense or defense etc. Peveto, bad hire, Steele bad hire for a DC, Grimes underwhelming. My suspicion about Cameron is that he is calling plays and Miles changes at least 50% of them. So I don't put the entire offense on Cameron, but who is supposed to be working and developing the quarterback position because that is not getting done. Harris has a great arm. Why can't he hit a receiver on a short route? Just asking.
