South Park is right. 1/3 of the American population is actually retarded.

If narcissism is a cause of retardation, I agree. If not, then the real issue is that people think they are waaaayyyyyy more important than they actually are and are finding other delusional people to gather with to push their delusion on everyone else.

The day I realized that I was an insignificant turd floating down the sewer pipe of life was the day life became much easier to stomach. Then I got back to work to make my little area of turdsville better for me and my family.

Agreed. I see WAYYYY too much of:

"I'm smart and successful, and everything I say or do is gold nonsense" -Okay I get having confidence.....but there's a fricking line between confidence and being incapable of critically evaluating yourself.

Add in things like

-Obsessive selfie culture, posting everything about themselves online.]

It like if you were to take the world as it was 60 years ago, except you tell 5 people every time you do something, whether its important they know or not.

I think this worldview that "everyone is unique and different" got turned into something almost more harmful than good.

I think it was originally meant for people to stop being self-conscious/comparing themselves, and to start tackling the worlds' problem and utilizing their gifts that should lead to ideas, bettering the world, bringing people together etc.

What its turned into is: overly narcissistic "I'm unique" in terms of things that have no bearing on their world directly. Regardless of race/acitivities each generation follows many similar behavioral norms.

So its "I'm unique look at me!" (For this quick pic I'm going to put on instagram), but they're really just doing what everyone else does, and pointing at themselves. I bet that gets tiring.
