Williams Sonoma Roasters
I have the two non-stick Calphalon at the bottom. The small works very well for chickens and the larger for turkeys. I've had them for probably 15 years and they work very well. The racks are non stick too. I use them both quite often so thought someone might like to see this. It's a good deal if you ask me and a good time of the year to buy.

Exactly which two do you have? I think there are 3 of those non stick roasters.

I have a large non-stick roaster, but it's only used a couple of times a year. That's my rationale for just now ordering a medium roaster and a small from Williams Sonoma. Nothing fancy, two stainless steel Tramontino ones.
I'm pretty sure I'm at the age where I'm supposed to be getting rid of things, not acquiring them. I'll have to throw out stuff before these come in.
Thanks for leading me to spending money, Martini!

That is what attics, back of closets and kids are for. My kid will never have to buy a pot, pan or dish because of me and no lamps, chairs or sofas because of my wife.
I have the Calphalon Unison but I have two different sizes. That seems to show just one. I'll dig them out and measure. And they only get used three or four times a year but most turkey roasters do. I've got that LeCrueset cast casserole which makes great lyonnaise potatoes and it weighs a ton. It only gets used a few times a year also.
I don't buy golf clubs or fishing rods anymore although I do still buy an occasional gun or she buys one for me but I can justify buying cookware. Plus I have a farm kitchen which makes it nice to not have to pack up a pot to bring to use.

GrisGris started getting rid of old things a long time ago.

My wife also has that NS1 Double Burner Griddle which is great for pancakes or eggs. She uses it at least a few times a week. It's on sale too.

What's the advantage of cooking in one of these (if any) versus say just roasting a chicken in a cast iron skillet in the oven, which is what I do now? Unless these are a lot bigger and better for a big bird.

Well they are bigger, non stick and have a rack which I like. But nothing wrong with a cast iron skillet.

When old things are no longer in working order such that they cannot perform, I rid myself of them, as you know from personal experience, VOR. You set yourself up for that one.
