No. To come over as a tourist you need a passport. You have to go through additional screening.
To come over as a refugee, you don't have to do anything but jump in a crowd. DHS and FBI already said they can't screen people they don't have records for. And Damascus doesn't have a hall of records.
Didn't think it was that hard to contemplate.
