If you believe the current regime can get it done, this thread is your opportunity to lay it out there. What gives you confidence?

The talent he is bringing in next year but after our showing the last two weeks I'm not to sure if he can make the most of that talent next year.

Can?

Won one. Played for another. Needed the team to progress in a couple of ways for us to have played for another this very year. It went the other way but clearly we are in the neighborhood.

Recruiting is top notch.

He'll clean up and shine real good the horseshoe he has wedged up his arse, which will magically make other teams lose so he can back into the playoffs with 2 or more losses. It's his MO.

I am generally a very confident person and don't allow negativity in my life outside of tigerdroppings which gives me plenty to compensate for the rest of my life.
If I don't believe my team is gonna win every game then why even be a fan of said team.

If he turns the offense 100% over to Cameron and defense 100% over to Steele, then assumes an icon role to bring in the recruits and coaches he's been doing.

Why is everyone asking if Miles will win another national championship? The bigger question is whether Miles will ever be able to win the freaking SEC West again.

I'm sure I'll get a bunch of replies scoffing, but I think Miles knew the deficiencies we're seeing now were coming, and he did his best to address them by getting new coaches in. This current team is the product of Studrawa being lazy and Brick not being able to close. Orgeron and Grimes are considered two of the best recruiters in the country at their positions, and good coaches too. They have to get their players in, and not just wet behind the ears freshmen. Cameron also is an easy target, because he had to rebuild the QB position from scratch. It's EXTREMELY rare to see a QB that's not at least a junior playing well in the SEC, and most successful teams have a senior or fifth year. Well, next year he'll have an experienced QB that is making documented progress, and a 5-star recruit waiting in the wings. That's what stability gives you. Cam showed in 2013 he is capable of calling a balanced and effective offense if the personnel is there, and that takes a few cycles.

Miles may be slow to react and stubborn but I truly believe that's part of what makes him successful at this level too. He doesn't overreact often, or make knee jerk decisions that end up making things worse (Gus anyone?). He hasn't had a losing season in his entire tenure, and that shows a huge amount of commitment to maintain. Miles isn't as clueless as many of the emotional responses here lead you to believe. Hell, this board's favorite talking point is that the offense never changes, but in the span of a week we saw the offense completely abandon the I-form (and many knowledgeable people believe this cost them the game). It may be frustrating to LSU fans, but making a run at a natty every 4-5 years is what other programs have wet dreams about. It sucks watching Bama do it yearly, but what they're doing is unprecedented and definitely can't be duplicated just by plugging in the next hot name on the coaching carousel. Building something that can challenge their run takes time and patience, and some failure along the way. Blow it up now and the odds overwhelmingly favor us having this same convo in three years. I don't know if LSU as a fanbase is that patient.

Doing exactly what their doing now except better (not that I'm in love with the current offensive playcalling) with more experience. Your starting left guard is a true freshman. And your starting right guard is a red-shirt freshman. If they can get at least 4 of the starters back on the o-line (including Pocic) they will be ready. Also, Harris will be a junior along with Dupre and TJ, and Fournette returning. I think they certainly can win a championship next season.

This will also depend on them getting the recruits on defense to build the depth and implement the scheme the new scheme. Also, they will not be young in the key areas where experience is required like QB, RB, DL, and OL.

Mawae said it this morning. One missed assignment on the line can cause the entire play to fall apart. We have two new linemen this season and we have a chance to return all 5 next season though I don't really see that happening. Getting guys who are draft eligible to come back is the primary challenge.

The same reason Dale Brown couldn't do it with Shaquille, Stanley, and CJ. He's not a championship coach.

We have to have some of the dumbest 'fans' in the entire world. Miles' record is unquestionably the best we've ever had but some idiots want him out. Since 2005, we've had 7 10 win seasons and considering most 'champions' don't go undefeated - even your precious gumps - that means we've been right in the thick of things almost every year.

Morons calling for Miles' head are devaluing LSU degrees by the second.
