LSU fans need to calm down and look at what happened to Tennessee when they let Phillip Fulmer go. We also have a top 3 recruiting class. Changes will be made but Firing Miles is crazy.

Would you fire a coach that hasnt been competitive in his division since 2011 with arguably the top 5 talent in the country?

Yes, I would, when that winning percentage creeps down every year and he gets 6 wins a year off of bad to average teams.

If he lost control of the program, lost his sense of urgency, or squandered it away,

Yes

LSU isn't Les Miles. LSU has been her long before him and will be here long after him. It's nothing personal, but LSU is bigger than ANY COACH.

You have made 3 posts ever and 2 of them were deleted. This one should be just as successful.

Damn it yes if his team continues on this path. Now win out or win 2 of 3 he gets one more year. No title and same crap on offense he has to go

The question is whether or not LSU would fire that coach. And, yes, LSU is considering firing him.

depends how he finishes the season. losing the last 4 regular season games would be enough to fire Miles.

No matter the level of talent on the team, no matter who's running the offense or defense as coordinators, since CLM got here, you can count on:

clock management issues
penalties
unimaginative offense
lack of discipline
lack of focus
and for the last 5 meetings (4 years), either a close or a blowout LOSS to Alabama.

from the LSU Tigers.

Pulling in a #3 (or #1) recruiting class will not change that

Look at the steady decline since 2011. Yes fire him.

This is real world. Not some playstation game, kid.

This is getting ridiculous. When fans bitch about it on a website, that's one thing. But, Rabalais isn't just making up a story. If there are real people in power at LSU who want Miles gone then I fear we are in trouble.

Like we've never lost two games before.

The losses too Bama and Arky are pissing me off though.

FTR, I've never thought of Miles as a "great" coach. But I also know the grass is not always greener.

I love how the pumpers always go back to the grass isn't always greener on the other side. That's all you guys have to hang your hat on. Firing Miles isn't crazy as long as you are OK with losing to Bama every year, and losing 2-3 division games per year. And looking like complete shite while doing it. If you are ok with that, then fine keep miles. I would rather go through a few losing seasons if it means not having to deal with Miles's shite anymore. This team constantly looks unprepared against equal or better opponents, and on their best days look unorganized and confused most of the time. It's always "we are young" "next year sets up for us to be goat".....etc. Its always a fricking excuse to cover for Miles's shite.

and guarantees a 0% chance of ever winning another National Championship? Yes, Virginia, it has been Saban's mojo all along. And even that's gone now....

Band aid fix huh. what good OC will come here knowing Leslie might be unemployed after next year. Les should just name himself OC and hire QB coach but he will never do that bc there wont be a scapegoat if his shitty offense tanks.

Again...this is comparing apples to oranges. Tennessee has ZERO local recruiting base and they hired Derek Dooley. LSU's last two hires have been good....let's hope they continue that trend.

IF you work for any company that does performance reviews, but mine doesn't go back 10 years to evaluate what I did for this year.

If you work in sales, they may go back only to look at trends and patterns, but that's it.

And the trend/pattern for miles is 2-4 losses every year depending on the talent level.

The recruiting classes are inflated with skill players all playing the same positions with the very high ratings (DB's, WR's, RB's). Recruiting on both the offensive line and defensive front 7 have been severely lacking and flawed(Bust like Clifton Garrett and Travonte Valentine, no LB's in 2012). The scheme at which he recruits has been terrible leaving a severe lack of depth in areas of need. Sometimes the ratings are deceiving and anyone who looked deeply into it would know that.
