I have a major problem with OU above Notre Dame. People point out that Notre Dame's wins are weak but it is not their fault that USC and Georgia Tech, 2 teams that before the year looked to be very strong, are major disappointments. Do people realize OU's 2 big wins are against back up quarterbacks. On top of that, I understand the committe is placing an emphasis on good wins over bad losses, but the Texas loss was BAD. That is a Texas team that got ran over Iowa State for christ sakes.

If ND wins against #9 Stanford, they could leapfrog OU by next week. It is significant that the committee ranked Stanford ahead of Oklahoma State.
OU jumped 4 spots after barely beating TCU by 1 point. If ND beats Stanford (who is a better team than TCU), then ND may make a similar jump.
OU does seem to be getting some luck in terms of their best opponents having major injuries at key positions (Baylor, TCU and now OSU).
