Where do the Bond movies go from here? (Spoilers)

***This isn't a thread about who will be the next 007***
One thing about the Craig Bond movies is that they've developed a continuity with a darker, grittier Bond. We've gone into Bond's past and for the first time in the series, we have continuity among the movies. Its a great change of pace from the last few Brosnan movies. However, this can't last forever. Let's say Craig does 1 more movie. How does the next Bond pick up from that? Will they completely reboot the franchise again or does the next Bond simply continue Craig's storyline? Considering each actor likes to portray Bond differently, it would seem like a difficult situation to simply plug someone in to continue the continuity started in last few Bonds.
On the other hand, it might be even more difficult to just start all over again. They've invested a lot screen time into developing characters. The producers have been waiting decades to get the rights back to Blofeld/SPECTRE. I don't see them tossing that aside after a movie or two, especially when you have a great actor like Waltz as Blofeld. That Blofeld has a relationship with Bond that you also can't dismiss. This isn't like the old Bond franchise where they could just plug in a new Bond and keep on going. From the outside, it looks like they've painted themselves into a corner.
As for the next movie, I think it will start with Madeline getting killed by Blofeld just like Tracy was in OHMSS. The parallels are just too similar. Bond defeats Blofeld but doesn't kill him. Bond quits MI6 so he can settle down with the girl he loves. He then drives off with her. Tracy's death scene in OHMSS was filmed with the intent that it would be saved for the next movie. IMO, they are going that same route with this story.

They go to Idris Elba, the one man who can quash any SJW bullshite that would arise if they went with a white guy and the one man who could do it justice while actually refreshing the character and franchise.

Bond develops reverse vitiligo and becomes Idris Elba
All kidding aside, I agree that they've put too much into the story/character development to abandon now and hope they'd keep SPECTRE, Waltz, Fiennes, Moneypenny and Q around even after Craig is done.

I would hope they would take 1/10th of the style of Kingsmen and bring back some excitement and elan to the series. Right now it's British Bourne and not too entertaining.

The idea that "James Bond" isn't a single person so much as a working codename makes reboot series with some overlapping support personnel completely tenable. You could have an Idris Elba, a Michael Fassbender, a Tom Hardy. You could also have one Bond killed in the finale of a previous film and have the new Bond avenge his death. And having continuing stories and character development from film to film adds a lot to the franchise value IMO.
