If you look at their career records at LSU, Nick Saban was 48-16 (a 75% winning record) and Les Miles is 110-30 (a 79% winning record) and Miles has coached now over twice as long. HOWEVER, Nick Saban's record against Alabama at LSU was 4-1 (80%) and Les Miles record at LSU against Alabama is 6-6 (50%).

So it is clear that Tiger fans who are whining don't really care about winning, they only care about beating Bama.

Alabama historically has beaten us 2/3rds of the times we have played them. Winning over 1/3rd of our games against them is a very good record. Nick Saban got lucky that he was at LSU at a very down time for Alabama.

Les Miles still has an even record against Bama. BUT, he does not have a winning record against Nick Saban at Alabama. Jilted lover syndrome.

Even that's a stat with no meat on it.

The 4-1 is correct...but what kind of BAMA teams were those? I'll tell you.

2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 were BAMA teams which finished the season unranked. The only team that finished ranked was the 2002 team...which handed Saban and LSU a prison rape style beating to the tune of 31-0 in Tiger stadium, and ended with Dennis Fancione yelling at Nick Saban at midfield.

And Miles?

He's beaten BAMA 5 times. 3 of those wins were against Top 5 ranked BAMA teams, with one win coming on the road. He's only faced an unranked BAMA once, and he won that game in 2006. And yes...he's lost some too. He's lost to BAMA teams ranked: #1 in 2008, #3 in 2009, #2 in 2012, #1 in 2012, #1 in 2013, #4 in 2014 and #7 (at the time) in 2015.

It was a different time. Saban's record against UF during that time was 2-3; and 2-3 vs Aburn.
