How can you guys think we will fall behind Stanford?

Go back and look at who they lost to. Also check who they have beaten. Now compare that to who we lost to and have beaten

LSU should stay ahead of Stanford.
I think we'll be 8th. Possibly 7th if we stay ahead of Iowa.

If the committee is strictly merit based then yes we should be ranked ahead of all other one loss teams sans Alabama. Probably ranked ahead of Iowa as well.
However, I have a feeling that the committee 'subconsciously' wants ND in the CFP. In order to ensure that they will have Stanford ranked as high as possible when they play.
Just a theory.

I think it's human nature to recall the most recent events as being more significant unless you are personally affected. Even with football games.

This is the problem only looking a 'quality losses' in the case of ND. How shitty do you know they are when they lost to the only team currently ranked on their schedule?

oh please. Our schedule has been weak, except for Florida which we beat by 7 at home. We got dominated by Bama. We don't have much leg to stand on.

Idk why this is being brought up, we got SMOKED by the only team that's in playoff contention in the SEC that's all you need to know, if bama struggles at the end and drops one the SEC will go unrepresented because L5U is overrated and so is the SEC (this year) will be back next year with BH and LF7 and pick ourselves up and get after it, HAPPY LOCKHEED MARTIN ISIS BOWL YAY!!!!

If we win out, we'll be in competition with the winner of the ND/Stanford game and with an undefeated Iowa team. Hopefully the panel sends Iowa to the Sugar Bowl.
