Staying somewhere with a shuttle stop right in front is almost better than ski in ski out. Can take shuttle to keystone, breck and a basin.

This. Keystone has no true ski in/ski out. However there are some places that are a pretty easy walk. I used to stay at Hidden River and walk from there to the Peru lift. Then you can take Silver Spoon down to the Montezuma lift up to the top. From there, you can go anywhere you want.

this. Ski in/ski out can actually be a little bit of a pain, depending on where it is.

Whereas if you are new to it, the shuttle will seem relatively convenient.
