While I live in a residential part of Buckhead, it isn't even one of the best things happening in the city right now. The east side is a little too hipster for my tastes, but the west side is blowing up.
No city is for everyone, so I take no issue with people who just don't like it. But it has to be near the top of any close-to-objective lists of best places in the Southeast.

I have a friend who just bought a condo, I think, on the west side of town. I need to go check it out.
