Alabama rotates 9 players on the D-Line

They are all studs. I was listening to the key points on some local talk show here and they said on Thursday this would be the thing to watch. The fresh Bama line vs LF and the LSU O-line.
It was not a fluke.

I don't think anyone has said it was a fluke.

I didn't say anyone did, I was just emphasizing the fact that LSU has a great O-line but you have that many fresh players to go against it's going to end up that way every time.

I agree to a point.............
Yes they did rotate that many players on the DLine. However, I re-watched the first half of the game last night and I also noticed that they were pushing our OLine into the backfield at the very beginning of the game. So, it wasn't JUST their ability to rotate fresh bodies. I can remember one play in particular where the nose guard literally pushed Pocic 3 or 4 yards into the backfield. I was VERY surprised to see that.

It did not seem to matter if it were starters or backups the pressure was constant.
Get ready to see the same next year, bama is loaded.

When they had like 18 players on the field waiting for our guys to send in a certain package was impressive. They looked organized and all on the same page.
I can't make myself believe that our guys are that well-coached and prepared.

Right. And our offense plays right into it. However, when they play hurry up teams, they don't do all that rotating. Why do you think Saban hates hurry up offenses and would ban them if he could?
"Balboa's so predictable and stupid, the man comes straight ahead. He's tailor made for me, and he's gonna get hurt!"

I disagree, a great O-line would have at least got a tie on the line of scrimmage and that's not what happened. I don't give a shite who was on the D-line and who they were rotating in and out or the frequency, a great O-line would have figured it out and they didn't, period.

I'm glad we only have to play them once.

What I hated the most is watching the game on cbs it doesn't show what is going on. The viewer only gets a fraction of the real game. LSU could have gone to a hurry up offense, just a few times, and it would have made a difference. The official would hold up the snap until bama had made their substitutions, LSU could have put a stop to that by doing a quick snap, no sub for LSU and if bama swaps a group of guys snap the ball while bama has 20 guys on the field. It didn't happen once.

On the long pass out of the endzone, lsu caught Alabama in a sub. Jon Allen was sprinting onto the field when the ball was snapped
*I noticed that we were sprinting on and off the field. Perhaps I just didn't notice it before but it seemed like that was emphasized in the off week. I seem to recall us jogging on and off. They were all out sprint Saturday night on substitutions

Saban goes for smarter guys than does Miles. Miles is more enamored with talent than brains and character. Saban says he likes having a bunch of wolves for a reason. Fact.

I think Coach O will have the d-line comparable to Bama in a few years,

Pocic has been a rock since day 1, but now that you mention it, his 6-7 frame vs mammouth 3-4 nose tackle isn't all that surprising. Strength and leverage right there. Pocic would be better suited playing next year at LT provided he makes the wise decision to play his SR year

You can pick out half a dozen plays PER PLAYER and watch each one of them get abused. One of the ones that stood out to me was Clapp got shoved back into the backfield and #7 had to avoid him. It was bad.

Did anyone take time to notice that bama had a heavy package on defense the entire game? They did to us what Ohio state did to them but our offensive coach and head coach must have slept the entire bye week. No screen plays, half back pass plays, nothing to loosen up the defense. Bama will struggle against the next team they play especially if the qb scrambles!!

Give me a break with this D-LINE crap.
Yes they are good we aren't the only team that has gone up against them.
We may have the most offensive line talent they faced.
Our results against them was the worst of any of their opponents this year.
That's coaching and game planning, sorry
