I'm looking for a good mechanic for my 1970 Ford Mustang, near the Nola area. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't let anyone work on my classic car other than myself. Learn how to do things and do them right.

Good luck finding a wrench turner who knows how to do something besides plug a car into a computer and replace parts based on a print out. I would check with a local car club, ask at a performance shop or go to the track south of town and ask around.
There is a Mustang Speed Shop in the Baton Rouge area that does work but I hear they are super pricey.

GNK Auto Repair or Emile's Auto Repair. Both off airline highway in Metairie and both are very capable dealing with classic cars.

This. It's not all that hard. Do it yourself.

All this plus a manual for your year and YouTube. I have repaired and replaced a bunch of stuff on my modern vehicle(s) using Google and YouTube.

Les on the corner of REL and Canal has worked on my stepdads 64 Vette a couple of times. I believe there is also a Mustang club in New Orleans
