Discuss what you think the rankings should or will be here. On Tuesday I will bump for the selection show.
1) Clemson
2) Alabama
3) Ohio State
4) Notre Dame
5) Oklahoma State
6) Baylor
I think the committee will love Alabama's win over LSU enough to jump them up to #2 over Ohio State. Not sure one good win for Oklahoma State is enough to jump them into the top 4.
I think 7-11 is a combination of Iowa, LSU, Stanford, Florida, and Utah.
Stanford looked equally as bad against Northwestern as LSU did against Alabama, so I think LSU should stay above Stanford.
7) Iowa

I don't think LSU looked good enough to stay in the top 5.

They didn't look good, but if they want to be consistent with having Bama up there last week, LSU should remain up there IMO.

Alabama was up there last week because they thought they were really good.
LSU was up there because they were undefeated. Now that they got beat up by Alabama, I don't see how that's the same thing.

LSU was not just up there because they were undefeated, but because of SOS which is what they used to justify Bama's ranking. LSU's SOS is up there.

Well of course.
I'm saying LSU wasn't up there because of the eye test. For Alabama, with a loss, that was a big part of it.
There's just no way LSU will be in the top 4 this week.

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. Ohio State
4. Okie State
Lsu looked bad against Bama.
Bama deserves a top ranking.
If the committee is consistent with their ranking system, LSU SHOULD be ranked 4th.
Lsu has every similarity this week as Bama did last week before the new rankings. Except you could actually say lsu's one loss is to a much better team.
It's a catch 22. If you rally behind Bama as being an amazing team, you almost have to punish lsu less because of the loss.
I'm ok with lsu not in the top 4. They should have playet better when it counted. But having them out shows inconsistency with the way the committee treats Bama vs anyone else.

Not sure why anyone would have Oklahoma St. in the top 4. They have played a garbage schedule. OOC opponents are:
Central Michigan
Central Arkansas
Texas-San Antonio

They just beat a top 10 opponent by 20, much better than any of NDs wins, and Ok St doesn't have a loss.

Honestly, if ND is in the top 4, LSU has to be 5.
Both 1 loss teams. One lost to the current #1 and the other lost to the potential #2
This is just a mess. The committee putting Bama @ #4 last week is going to show their inconsistency this week if they drop LSU drastically (especially if they drop them FAR behind Notre Dame).

They wouldn't.
ND has two top 25 wins -which is what the committee looks at;so for now they will be ahead of Oklahoma St

Nah.
Notre Dame lost a really close game. LSU didn't.
While I don't think that should have a huge impact on things, it certainly could.

I guess I'm just not sold on Notre Dame. They are the media's 2nd favorite child.
That and they need to get into a damn conference.

TCU was wildly overrated.

LSU will be ranked in the 8-10 range.
