Why is it against the rules to believe that an 11-1 season is a success?

We all define success differently. Last night was a pseudo playoff game and we were eliminated once again by Bama. I'm tired of losing to them. It will take a fluke for LSU to get back into the SEC champ game to have a shot at the NCG.

Because it gets you nothing. No SEC championship, no national title shot. Just another year of being the 2nd runner up to the beauty queen.

It would obviously be foolish to not cherish an 11-1 season. If LSU can pull it off, looking back at an 11-1 season would a great thing.

However, the nature of the loss last night and the reminder of numerous others like it takes quite a bit of luster off of it. Also, the promise of it happening again and again keeps the hope for the future in check.

It is a success. But in a weak SEC and losing to the same team year in, year out gets really old.
