The game last night was not lost on the field as much as it was lost...

...over the last 3 February's where Bama has crushed us in defensive line recruiting. LSU either whiffed, mis-evaluated or lost to attrition way too many d-line recruits and THAT is why we were embarrassed up and down the field last night. There is no Brockers, Logan, Nevis or Dorsey on this team. Sure LaCouture and Godchaux are nice players but we need two or 3 more just as good waiting behind them. Bama has that, we don't and it showed up in the form a good back going over 200 while our great back got 40ish.
Coach O will hopefully turn around the fortunes of our dline recruiting but if he doesn't expect more of the same year after year until LSU closes the talent gap and depth in the trenches.
As a side note I was also extremely disappointed in our oline. Terrible time for them to turn in their worst game of the year.

This defensive line played plenty well enough last night to win outside of being tired from being hung out to dry last night. The offense consistently put them right back on the field all night! Miles didn't have his team ready, had a shite gameplan, and the o line got their shite pushed in.

Their performance was far worse than the DL and on paper, it was the best OL LSU has seen since I can remember...

Our defensive line played fine. Actually pretty well if you ask me.

It was actually lost on the field.

LSU has more players in the NFL than any other college football team. Ole Miss has beaten Bama two years in a row and Tennessee was ahead of them with five minutes in the 4th quarter this year (and outrushed them for the game).
We have a lot of talent too, but we are more predictable than any team out there on offense and this is the main reason we don't beat Bama and couldn't score more than 17 on them with a QB, two WRs and a RB that have all started in the NFL.

Bama has crushed Ole Miss and Tennessee and other teams far worse in Feb, yet for some odd arse reason, they seem to expose Bama at times making them look vulnerable.
LSU seems to be the only team that Bama becomes a superhuman monstrosity rendering all success virtually impossible in this universe and the next.

It's an offensive scheme problem. If it was solely about recruiting, Bama would win the NC every single year.

The D-Line played more than well enough to win that game. The offensive creativity wouldn't even make a 5 year old think.
its as simple as saying "Red" and then child points to an apple or someshit.

Yep, especially considering the 2:1 time of possession

When was the last time Tennessee beat bama? Bama has won 9 straight against them. What a poor example. Had bama turned the ball over five times last night, lsu wins. It's not that hard to figure. We got their A game. Ole miss didn't. Bama is more talented and better than both.

Ole Miss beat them the year before too. Of course Bama is more talented than them, but Ole Miss was able to exploit some weakness in Bama's D. Bama did not give Ole Miss five pick 6s this year. Ole Miss shredded Bama's secondary and earned TDs. They even ran on them better than we did and Bama's was jacked up to play them following last year's loss to them.

You must not have watched the game. Five turnovers in bama's territory. Two inside the 20. A pass that bounced off a players helmet into a wr hands for a td. A illegal play that au ran on us the same day for a td. They did not shred bama's d and the did not run on them. I guess you don't recall the ints Blake sims threw last either. If you gave lsu five turnovers last night, lsu wins. We got one and scored a td. That's right, it wasn't a pick six, we stuck it in the end zone like ole miss did with their FIVE.

Amen,Amen,Amen I say unto you brother Miles is not the way, the truth or the light and Miles was lucky he was in elephant country or his run up the middle bullshite would have been booed by mid- third quarter in Death Valley.
The way a fan opposes stubborness is by vocal opposition until Miles realizes we will not tolerate it any longer and changes his scheme before we boo him.

I watched the whole game and they SHREDDED Bama's D in the air. Yeah, I saw the lucky play, but even if you take that out, they had 260+ yards passing. They ran for more yards against Bama than LSU did and averaged more ypc . They also caused some of those turnovers. The bottom line is that you need to score more points than the other team and they put the ball in the end zone time after time against Bama's D.
Bama had some luck too recovering the onsides kick and making the game closer, but Ole Miss overcame it. Bama had the refs give them a TD before half time last year following a terrible missed facemask call that allowed them to go up 14-3 at thalf. They overcame it and won anyway. And Sims only had one int. last year against them.

For the millionth time, there is no game plan that works when your oline is getting pushed back 2 yards every play.

This is a solid post your not being negative just realistic. The other main problem that won't change until Les leaves is he has a "hard on" fantasy bout playing 3 yards and a cloud of dust football against Saban. We ran out of spread nd used multiple formations against SC and Auburn, but he refuses to do that against most teams.

You do realize that no offensive game plan will work if the O-line is getting pushed around don't you?
How would have you schemed around an ineffective O-line?
I'm dying to hear your solution.
