My take from watching the SaintsGiants replay

To see Brees air the ball 45yds.from his own end zone
on a rollout to Watson tells me he is steady healing
and Ingram appears to be developing in to a more complete back. Also going forward as our young defensive unit matures they shouldn't worry about stats
as much as keeping the opposing team from scoring more points than we do. As long as Brees can perform close to the level he is at all we need is a defense in the top 20 to be in the hunt.

Agree with most of this. The defense absolutely has to cut back on penalties. I know Breaux is still trying to make the transition, but Browner is severely costing the team at times. And as great as Brees has been playing he still can't turn the ball over, like when he forced the throw after Byrd's forces fumble on Sunday that was intercepted and gave the Giants a chance to get back in the game. I do think they're on the right track though and have a very favorable schedule ahead of them. Let's hope for the best!

my take is.............the 2 WORST defensive coordinators in the NFL with below average defenses

I bet you're a blast at parties
Try to enjoy a win like that

We have to be leading the NFL in first downs given up by penalty.
I'd be willing to bet we're first by alot.
I've never seen anything quite like it, to be honest.
I'm not 100%, but I thought I saw we gave up 7 first downs to the Giants by penalty. Hard to win when you do that every week.

Unfortunately Browner has acquired a reputation and the referees scrutinize him accordingly. He'll get called for penalties on contact which isnt illegal at this point (and he has)

Browner is a walking flag on the field. He should just come out dressed in yellow. However, the officiating in the game was horrible. Some PI calls and Holding calls in the secondary were legit, but some were just a complete stretch. It would have been fair if the refs would have called it even both ways. The refs turned a blind eye to a lot of calls that should have gone against the Giants.

It's not fair, but we have to stop playing him.

Completely agree here, it seems stupid to criticize Drew on a 7TD game but that INT was inexcusable, a terrible decision that someone of Drew's caliber should not make. It was on 3rd down and I think about 14, Drew had room to run for about 7-8 yards and get Forbath into better position for a FG to come away with some points off of a turnover.

Ahhhh, everything is so easy from the sofa and behind the keyboard.

my take is the two worst D-coordinators in the NFL
I don't think this all falls on Rob Ryan. Way too many new pieces to this defense. If by the end of the season there isn't marked improvement in the Defense
then maybe look for a replacement. One thing that has definitely improved is the pass rush.

And the effort. We got rid of a lot of "cancer" in the offseason.

So true. Wasn't popular at the time but may prove to be the best move of the off season.

Shouldn't be too hard for a 15 year veteran starter to know situational football, and on top of that attempting a throw on the run crossbody into double coverage on a 5'10" WR.....I love Drew Brees, he had a hell of a game, but that was stupid play on his part

He tried a cross field, cross body, throw on the run during a scramble under pressure to a double covered under 6ft reciever. While we were in field goal range in our own territory and had the lead coming off a turnover.
Has nothing to do with being on a couch, that's the kind of shite no quarterback can do.

They have literally been getting better at every position every week. We finally have some young talent and they're developing well.

This.
Has anyone heard anything about this crew getting reprimanded/fired? The fact that they (correctly) changed the snead facemask call by looking at the replay shows they were extremely ill-prepared to officiate an NFL game.

Was it cross field or body? I thought he was running forward?
I love that we are aggressive, but it was a dumb play. Especially since he could have moonwalked for a 1st down

yeah, the pass rush sort of picked up as the game went on. We had a sack/fumble called back also because of some dumb foul that had nothing to do with the play.
i want to say it was a five yard foul for defensive holding but it was ruled an automatic 1st down for them.
the whole automatic first down attachment is super annoying... unless its in your favor.
Lol.
