Not at all. Believe it or not South Carolina is one of the few SEC teams I can tolerate.

Bingo. Isn’t that why we’re playing this hypothetical game? UNC’s path to a more National presence isn’t nearly as in intensive as SCAR. They have access to the same recruiting base.

I think you’re correct on the first part, but this is a what have you done for lately league. Spurrier didn’t leave a bunch of All-Americans in Columbia. The talent disparity between ’10-’14 and today is night and day. You would be hard pressed to argue. Rock Hill hasn’t produce those impact players the last few years and SCAR recruiting in suburban Atlanta has been underwhelming. Going head to head with the teams I mentioned in the above post proved difficult for a HOF coach.

There is a rebuilding job in Columbia, SC. Back to the OP, SCAR is a good job.

The most effort Spurrier put into recruiting was doing the cha cha slide with Lattimore's mom. Other than that he didn't do shite.

And we were still able to go head to head against Bama, Auburn, Tennessee and UGA for some big time recruits when our recruiting coordinator wasn't Spurrier's incompetent son. Hell we even got a couple recruits going head to head against some of those teams even after Bubba became recruiting coordinator.
