Paul Kruger, Alex Mack, Barkevious Mingo, and Joe Thomas all on trade block. I know the Saints were interested in Kruger, might be worth kicking the tires.

Would be interesting to see what Mingo could do.Are the Browns just not using him right, wrong scheme?

Through two and a half years Mingo has 7 sacks.

29-year-old Kruger has base salaries of $7 million this year and $6.5 million next season. He registered 11 sacks last year, but has dipped to 0.5.Wonder why the production drop off this year?

Mingo had 5 sacks his first year, 2 his second year, and zero so far this year.
Not encouraging.

The plus side for Mingo is that he's only 25.

I'd like Gary Barnidge or Travis Benjamin if at all possible
Posted on 11/1/15 at 10:44 am to JeffG20
Benjamin would be a pipe dream.

You beat me to it, I think we pass on Alex and Thomas but Mingo he is still under rookie contract. If they willing to take a 5th or 6th round in next year's draft. Kruger I don't think we have the money to even mess with his contract.

Whoa. Joe Thomas?
Why would anybody trade a franchise left tackle?
I'd love Mingo for a late round pick, but I think they'd be more likely to go after Kruger. We did try to get him a couple years ago when he was a FA.

I remember Payton saying we came close to signing Krueger in free agency a few years back...wouldn't shock me, if they could find the cap room.

Guess it depends if we win today... to see if were in Buyers mode. Would def help with pass rush Kruger.

Minho is garbage. The Saints have better pass rushers than Mingo already.

Yea I just dont get that. LT is one of the first things positions you pick when you're doing a rebuild. And they're getting rid of theirs?
The only rationale I can think of is they don't want to pay big bucks that while they suck. Maybe they'd like to start over with a younger, cheaper tackle that they will draft.

Mingo is just not very good at pass rushing. Glad we dodged that bullet. Now Ansah on the other hand...
