Do you think TCU was trying to pad his stats last night?

Up by 30 with 7 minutes left and he was still in the game chunking it. That was pretty pathetic on TCU's part. I am glad the announcers finally mentioned that he needs to be on the sideline.

They can try all they want, fact is, Fournette is the best player in America and everybody knows it.

TCU has been on the outside looking in before. They're trying to leave no doubt in people's minds that they are worthy. The reality is voters are people too, and they can get caught up in emotion. Seeing TCU beating teams by 50 week in and week could possibly help them. I don't blame them.

Did you not see Boykin's Heisman moment that everyone's been talking about? I feel for the little girl in the wheelchair, but if that isn't a publicity stunt I don't know what is.

It was pretty said on Reddit's /r/CFB subreddit after the game. All any TCU fan wanted to talk about was Fournette. They literally just won a game and they were debating about Boykin having a heisman night...against WVU.

They have, literally, played no one this season.

I think that has more to do with the fact that they were left out of the playoff last year than it has to do with Boykin competing for the Heisman.

Fournette will have to win the Heisman in November. If he averages a meager 140/game the rest of the way...that would put him over 1,900 yards and probably 20+ rushing td's. I'd say LSU needs to be at least 10-1 or better.

He's still the heavy favorite right now, but needs to perform at a high level down the stretch. JMO

Just another in a long line of Big 12 system Qbs that just chuck the ball around in a pass heavy offense

Bryce Petty
Collin Klein
Geno Smith
RG3
Brandon Weeden
Colt Mccoy
Sam Bradford
Graham Harrell
Chase Daniel

etc

That is what Stoops did for Sam Bradford the year he won the Heisman... He beat Colt McCoy pretty much bc Mack Brown would sit him in 4th Quarters and even after UT won the head to head vs the Sooners

I hate those offenses but .. Geaux Baylor! If LF7 gets his yards vs Bama and if we win that will pretty much be the deciding factor IMO

The QB's of the throw every down variety and then run and continue to put up numbers generally struggle in the Heisman race. The key will be Boykin and getting big wins with the big games coming up. He would not be doing that against SEC defenses whose talent and the athletes they have on defense would slow him down. Plus the officials last night were horrible, PI calls, not letting West Va sub in on defense.

Welcome to what Boykin has done all year.....it's embarrassing.....as are the Big 12 defenses. I think Boykin is legit contender and maybe winner if they go undefeated. What matters is what he does against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Baylor.

Teams like TCU and Baylor never take their foot off the pedal. If it was anything it was Patterson trying to impress the playoff committee before next Tuesday.

Give Fournette an award for playing real football - you could call it something like 'The Heisman Trophy'.

Give Boykin an award for playing foot-ket ball at the pointguard-back position - you could call it something like 'the participation trophy'.

That run last night was Fournette-esque... so good that Holgerson had to give him props.

I can tell by the comments that most didn't watch the game. The only thing impressive about that game was the bad refs. WVU was in the game until the refs put it out of reach. Bad calls all over the place. Any time TCU stalled out and it was 3rd and long a flag magical appeared. They got 5 PI calls on 3rd down. Not saying WVU would have won but the game should have been much closer, within 7-10 points.

Remaining games:

Fournette

Team / Rushing defense rank
@Alabama 4
Arkansas 18
@Ole Miss 26
Texas A&M 102

Boykin

Team / Passing defense rank

@Oklahoma State 18
Kansas 125
@Oklahoma 13
Baylor 75

Fournette has 3 of 4 games against legit run defenses. Boykin has 2 of 4 games against legit pass defenses.

They both have two road games against legit defenses.

I think they were trying to win by as many points as possible

Remember, this team feels they were wrongly left out

Pete Carroll used to do that. He lost an all-American safety trying to run it up in the 4thQ vs Arkansas. Would be a shame if Boykin got injured in junk time.
