LSU's wide receivers better grow some courage for the Bama game

Harris can thread the needle, but the wr's do not consistently make the tough catches. They are going to be covered & hit all game like they never have before against Bama. I don't know if they are tough enough to win the battles with Bama's db's. They have not proved it so far.

Lol Bama's DBs aren't any tougher than WKU's or any other team we've played.

You need to coach them. In your playing days you were damn badazz, right? I'm sure they could use your expertise and experience.
Go for it man.
Go for it man.

You think bama has an amazing secondary? They aren't as good as UF.

Really dude have you watched bama's secondary? Ole Miss went for 350 and 3 scores on them. Literally they had around 40 yards of rushing so bama knew they were throwing and couldn't do shite.

Bama's secondary better grow some courage to get curb stomped by LF7.

Most of the receivers have played against Bama before.

Have a downvote for never having football before...

Travin caught a touchdown pass his redshirt freshman year against them and Malachi snagged one in he end zone against their best DB last year... I'm not that worried about it

Bama's DBs? Harris and Co smoked Florida's secondary....which is 10x better than the Gumps.

Gotcha. Post your email and I'll forward your concerns to Les and Coach Ball.

UF was the best secondary we have faced or probably will face for the remainder of the year. UA should be much better in their defensive backfield. Part of it is that teams are able to isolate their best and tallest WRs on their Corners on the Island and Bama's pass rush may be a step late on putting pressure early in the game.
It seems though that as the game goes on their DL starts wearing down opposing OLs and they are able to get to the QBs and pressure them into mistakes. Hence, they make their DBs look like better football players than they are. UA just may have athletes who have not yet learned how to be complete football players as far as being corners or safeties.

I'm not so sure, cajun5. I just watched cforester's recap of all of Harris's videos (see thread near this one), and it made me realize our WRs are pretty tough. A few throws were into traffic where the WR knew they'd get popped, and they stuck their heads in to try to make the play. Didn't always make the catch--some would have been highlight reel if they hung on--but when they do, they're looking to run, even if a safety's in the way.

You need to grow some courage before watching the Bama game.

Yeah - I'm feeling better about the game because of our performance against Florida - Florida's DL is comparable to Bama's and their secondary is better. The big deal we haven't faced yet this year is a linebacking corps like Bama's, particularly Ragland and Devall. If we can manage that - run effectively against them (particularly on first down), protect on blitzes and complete passes on them in the short zone against that group, we'll be fine. OP is correct that the WRs will have to do their part - no freezing in the headlights or a case of the dropsies, just because it is Bama and on the road.

Bama's DBs better prepare their anus for when Leonard breaks Ragland's tackles.

Florida was one of the more physical secondaries I have seen in awhile. I think they will be fine.
