Rick, with all due respect, that post is the poster child for cherry picking.

You are quoting the best snippets from each year and comparing them to each other.

Don't you think a more accurate comparison would be to post something like our total passing yards for each year, 2006 - 2014? And include all the years you skipped? And post how LSU ranked each of those years in passing in A) the SEC, and B) The nation?

I honestly don't know and am much too lazy to look it up. But the stats you posted above made me lol.

Uh no I'm not.
2006 JRuss was the best passing season in lsu history( set passing td record, single season completion % record and qb rating record)

2007- Flynn tied the single season passing td record
2009-JJ ws top 5 in the sec in qb rating 17tds-7ints this season is 10 most passing yards in lsu history
2011- JLEE led the sec in passing efficiency 13tds--1 int
JJ 6 tds -1 int both qbs had qb rating of over 138
2013-Mett threw for the 3rd most yards in lsu history
2015 Harris is 2nd in the sec in qb rating.

None of these are cherry picked.

No, because we don't rely on passing yards in our offense, we rely in efficiency. Or do you believe that there are 115 starting QBs better than Brandon Harris this year?

This isnt accurate either. Les Miles will not run up the score. 06, jmarc sat on the bench by the 3rd in the blow outs. same with Mett in 13. Jennings basically played 2.5 games. He went victory formation with 5 minutes left against Ole Miss. The yards easily could have been had to boost the national rankings. And in some cases just a few yards could be the difference in a few spots.

Baylor had the game won and their starting qb is now out. Even with two minutes left and up 18 they were still throwing the ball with the back up.

they are objective facts which challenge the notion that miles is incompetent when it comes to qb's. there is no question that lee, mett and harris have gotten better under miles. if jefferson didn't have so many drops, his numbers would have improved too. you can make the point that miles has improved every qb he's coached. jefferson is the exception which is unfortunate because he played for so long and that is where the misconception comes from. jennings might be better this year but, we wouldn't know it because harris' improvement vaulted him into the role.
