I was impressed with Greg Gilmore on Saturday. Didn't realize how massive he was until I saw him standing next to Godchaux and absolutely dwarfing him. I also thought he looked quick/athletic.
I feel like he will get better and more explosive the more reps he gets and as his confidence grows.
This may have been just what we needed in the DT rotation as we hopefully get Lacouture back to full health against Bama.

Gilmore and Herron are making huge strides from game to game this season. So much so, I feel they are more 1b to CL/DG 1a. Didn't Herron force another fumble last game? We almost recovered it. Dude is a playmaker at DT.

Ed is getting it out these boys seriously. Was talking to Freaks high school coach and he confirmed that Haley did not teach moves or technique. Wish he would have played for O

If we can get Lacoture and White back and Mills back to starting for the Alabama game and then the stretch run, I feel like the defense will hit its stride and could finally really gell. All the pieces are there.
We are playing more starters on special teams, too.
With Harris coming along and the award stepping up, this team could be complete in all 3 phases by the time we play Alabama.

Was thinking about this the other day. He really would have been a freak with Ed O...so much talent. And now he can't even make an NFL roster.

Gilmore needs to start that game IMO. Not that it matters much. Gilmore, Herron, Godchaux, and Lacouture need to play a ton. We need some more guys at DE. Bower back has helped a lot.

It's still not too late to come back down to LSU and work with him during the off-season
