DT Depth

Posted by Power1995 on 10/26/15 at 9:30 am
I was impressed with Greg Gilmore on Saturday. Didn't realize how massive he was until I saw him standing next to Godchaux and absolutely dwarfing him. I also thought he looked quick/athletic.

I feel like he will get better and more explosive the more reps he gets and as his confidence grows.

This may have been just what we needed in the DT rotation as we hopefully get Lacouture back to full health against Bama.

Love the high five with Mike on the way out!!
Freshman year, stormed the field, one of my fondest memories in Tiger stadium along with the Florida upset in 1997. That game marked the renaissance of Tiger football out of the Dark ages (Hallman era).

The Freshman on D

Looked great last night!

Arden Key to me looks like he could be the next "transcendent" player at LSU. He showed that the preseason hype was warranted and will be a nightmare for opposing offenses. The speed/athleticism coupled with the arsenal of moves he showed, my god!! anyone know his stat line?

Also thought KT2 played a very technically sound game, seemed to always be in good position, taking good angles, keeping receiver from getting behind him (the one play he thought he had help over the top from Adams may have been his fault), but looked like a future nfl corner out there!

I think we have at least two superstars on D for the next 3 seasons!

****Dammit!!! every-time!!!! In the process of typing my incredibly original must-read nugget of thoughtful football intellect, some other ranter sneaks in a similar thread one minute earlier! Fuggit!!

re: Donte Jackson

I could see Tyron Johnson getting a crack at punts as well. not quite as explosive as Donte, but sure-handed and has great shiftiness, vision and instincts similar to HB7. So many playmakers on this sqaud!!!
dude is coming off labrum surgery. It may take him a little longer to reach beast mode than some of the guys at 100%. plus he was a draft pick. Im going with an undrafted free agent to be "that guy"
ODB
LF7
TM7
FREAK
Dwayne Thomas
Tyron Johnson
Trai Turner
Debo Jones

Would be surprised to see a full transition to a 3-4, but I would definitely expect to see some packages utilizing a lighter/quicker DE i.e. Neal, Teumeha or Arden Key, having them line up as an outside backer.
I am curious as to why Ronnie Feist has not taken a redshirt. If he did that would give us a solid additional option at LB for next year (assuming he stayed) while we bridge the gap between Beckwith/Garrett and the future.
Not trying to be a nagatiger, just thinking a little outside the box;
What if jacory is the flip? What if the big announcement is him going elsewhere?
this story fills my heart with joy on the day of our conference championship! Lets go get em Sam!
e. reid, showtime24, tm7 era, shep, odell33 and godson80.

i think shep tweets more than anybody else. most likely to give you an rt as well.

i also follow former tiger greats p. peterson and r. clark. They are always tweeting with our secondary, encouraging and congratulating them.

re: Is Ware now in the doghouse ?

Posted by Power1995 on 11/14/11 at 7:30 am to
it looked to me like ware took a nasty shot to the knee on a goal line play and came off gimpy. not sure if he returned after that. it was the play that had to be reviewed b/c he appeared to fumble but was ruled down near the 1. hope he's all right.
Congats to Eric Reid! My favorite player. Also one of the most underrated players, imo. Brings the wood every game. That hit on the reciever on the first drive that disodged the ball out of bounds and the lick he put on trent early were thunderous. he is a smart kid who seems humbLe and represents the university very well. future 1st round pick. If he can help get l. collins to commit, in addition to already being the quaterback of our defense as a sophmore, Reid must be considered as one of the most important players lsu has ever landed as a recruit. (i know his dad was an all american track star for us and all, just sayin)._Also congrats to big Sam!
Henrys Neighborhood Uptown Bar- Great LSU crowd, serve good food, cheap drinks.

12 BAR- Projection screen, not too crowded, nice ammenities

The Rusty Nail,- might have to put up with some bama trash talking but that shouldn't slow you down. Great venue.
The bar at the Ruths Chris at the Hard Rock Casino.
I like em. Cutting edge yet still classy and somewhat traditional. Gloves are sick, i want a pair for holding my cold beer in the winter months.
damn meg gatto is a total slam piece. the dog bark is classic! never fails. thanks for the footage.
sending up some prayers for him and the children as well.
