I haven't been hating on Duane - he's one of ours. but I have noted he was getting picked on.

Oh I'm not defending him. He played terrible. He got lit up a couple times.

No it wasn't. If you've ever played DB, even in flag leagues, you'd understand what happened there. Jefferson played the receiver, and that's what determined his angle - and it was the proper angle based on the receiver's route. Jefferson probably took his eyes off the receiver to look for the ball - exactly as you are coached to do. At that moment the receiver adjusted his route.
Jefferson seemed to be, as Curly would say, a victim of circumstance rather than of bad angles. It appeared to me that Jefferson played it properly.
