there is a correlation between turnovers and wins but it's not super strong and typically the stats are run by turnover margin, which involves a lot of luck (esp with fumbles recovered/lost). a long-distance interception isn't that much different than a punt (with average special teams. it's probably an advantage with our punting), yardage-wise, which negates the impact of those plays almost entirely

getting too worried about interceptions is kind of like not going for it on 4th down (or playing to go for it on 4th)...it's old school thinking that isn't based in statistical analysis for the most part
