This happened to us as well and the insurance keeps trying to correct it and it still hasn't corrected with the dmv. Seriously Louisiana is the worst when it comes to this shite.

Just make sure you or whoever is working on this keeps notes of every correspondence, and keep copies of all documents. I was dealing with taxes on a closed business and they kept trying to tax me on something that didn't exist. I found a woman at the state that was working with me to correct the problem. I had her name and all communication went through her. It made life much easier.
