The answer is no, there are no foreign militaries in the United States although our allies send troops here to train quite often. We have operational combat units all over the globe, no other country has operational combat units in the US
This is the root of my question. I understand allied countries come and use our facilities to train ... but I can bet we aren't just training in the 150 countries we have presence in

My aunt has a housekeeper who's son is career military and was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with Special Forces. About 7 or 8 years ago, he rescued a child drowning in a river. The river was in flood and it was a heroic act. Someone took some pictures and the locals reported his actions to the local authorities, along with the pics as evidence. He was decorated for his actions and his mother was very proud.
The river was in Djibouti, and the soldier was in civilian clothes when the incident took place. I asked the mother, "what the hell is _______ doing in the Horn of Africa?" Her response was, "Oh, I don't know. He travels all over. I'm just glad he's not someplace dangerous like Afghanistan or Iraq."
We've got our fingers in a lot of pies around the world. I don't know what _______ was really doing along that river, but I'm certain he wasn't there on lifeguard duty.
