Cooper where my daughter goes is about $23K

My son is only 1, but we are already starting to look. Do you think John Cooper is worth it compared to the rather decent public schools in The Woodlands? As of right now, my wife will have paid off all her student loans and basically her entire salary can go to our kids education. I already cover the rest of the expenses. But I'm just not sure if it's worth the 20k+ price tag when the public school option isn't all that bad.

I have a family member that works at Cooper and I went to and live in the The Woodlands. The academics at Cooper are legit and the amount of pressure on the kids is crazy. I can't see forking that over for lower levels but if you have a truly exceptional student on your hands there is good reason to send him/her there. For the above average student I just can't see justifying it given the public options available.

Just realize with the money going through that place you will be sitting at the high rollers table.
