Top three threats to NOLA:

1)Hurricanes
2)Old River failure
3)Coastal Erosion

Crime, the slow bleeding of major energy jobs to Texas, a slow down in tourism, and poor infrastructure are all much bigger and more likely threats to New Orleans than any of those things.

Than coastal erosion? You're a fricking moron. Erosion is an existential threat to South Louisiana. It's happening on an undeniable daily basis. The land people used to live on less than a hundred years ago is now underwater. But 'a slow down in tourism' (when did that happen?) is a bigger deal.

Well I guess since tourism is doing great and the infrastructure is being rebuilt, I suppose the coastal erosion is higher on the priorities list

More energy jobs were lost in Katrina in the Nola area than will ever leave due to crime

You can't be serious with that statement

And coastal erosion is a 100% likely threat to new Orleans. It isn't the boogie man. It is visible. That doesn't mean there aren't solutions, but plunging your head that far up your arse won't make it go away.
