This is one of the most retarded threads I've ever encountered on Tigerdroppings. It's equally as dumb as the threads regarding season ticket holders taking tickets and leaving early.

How does someone who spells that poorly afford season tickets?
Old money?

If the fans and local media were calling out LSU as much as they are calling out the people who passed on a bullshite offer things MIGHT change.
LSU advertised a understaffed and undersupplied game. They gave people three days to cancel whatever they have planned then offered them this great opportunity at a price no lower than $160 for a family of four...fricking absurd.
$40 should have been the most expensive ticket, not the cheapest. Where is the incentive for people to skip whatever plans they have had for weeks or months or longer.
LSU banked on people wanting to see Fournette. Then, when sales went soft they leaned on the local media to start putting the pressure on fans. It's horseshite by LSU and another example of how they don't know what their fanbase wants. They have nobody to blame but themselves and hopefully the team doesn't pay the price.

Yeah, regardless if you had other plans before this game just magically appeared in Baton Rouge on, oh what was it? Wednesday?
Yeah, frick it. Cancel all that shite and go the game.

Season ticket holders and real fans are all the same. Neither group shows up to Tiger Stadium
This!
Sure individuals can't make the game but as a group now nonseason ticket holders have lost the right to bitch in my opinion.

I don't know why people think this is overpriced for a premier college football game.

Because it was advertised as being understaffed an undersupplied. ASU charged NO ADMISSION when the game vs LSU was moved to Tempe, and thats the closest example we can get right now.
This game wasn't scheduled in advance so people have things to do (work, events, etc) and the motivation was clearly not to fill the stands, then LSU and the media bitches when the stands arent full.
LSU football is an event and when half the people at your tailgate can't go and now there is no tailgate and it is advertised by the AD as basically being a skeleton crew, the impression is that this is not just another game. It's thrown together at the last minute and they overcharged their half arse effort.

I do. It is begins with and S and ends with a D.

Take a look at our Spring game numbers, it should be no shock to anyone that LSU's fanbase (while passionate) has plenty of hobbies and the culture of LSU goes beyond the football field and is more about the experience than the game for ALOT of people or business who sponsor the program and purchase blocks of tickets.

Are as many people calling out the large sponsors and companies who buy blocks of tickets? No
This is a half arse effort (understandably so) by LSU and I don't think the fanbase or media is judging them on their capabilities and choices yet LSU and the media are calling out the fans for their capabilities and choices. It's fricking low class.

We have a suspicious package on in the quad.
Visual inspection suggests it is a truth bomb.
I am an STH, and I will be there in 422. But the fact that the stands aren't going to be full has very little to do with the fans. LSU sold SC a bill of goods, and are blaming the fans for not being able to fulfill their end.
Sad and pathetic for both the AD, and the OP.
I this game had been scheduled home all along, and no STH's were allowed to have tix to the game. . .the stadium would be sold out.
true story.
