Update: Greg Smith failed his physical so we went with Jerome Jordan instead.

BREAKING: Sources confirm #Pelicans to add PF Greg Smith to a non-guaranteed contract to bolster frontcourt competition. 6-foot-10, 4-yr vet

Greg Smith's best basketball came in 2012-13 w #Rockets. He played in 70 games and averaged 6 points. He'll have a shot to make #Pelicans.

#Pelicans more likely to keep a full 15-man roster due to injuries, meaning Greg Smith has a decent likelihood to make the team & play early

PF Greg Smith will not be with the #Pelicans tonight in Jacksonville vs #Hawks. Will join them tomorrow in #NOLA. @NBA @ZachLowe_NBA

Decent backup big depth.

Good pickup for the situation we are in. Hope he plays well and can earn a spot for the year.

What exactly goes on during these physicals? Is it just a bunch of drills and workouts just curious ?
