Every one of those shift beaters were on pitches where the pitcher missed his spot.
Springer never saw the ball off the bat. 9 times out of 10 he gets that ball.
Royals played better than the Astros tonight. Key here though is the Astros are still producing runs without Gattis and Correa really swinging the bat well.
Sunday will be fun. I'm wearing my Rasmus inspired ski goggles to the game.

We took care of what we needed to accomplish at a minimum. Head back to Houston for 2 already having a win under our belt. The Royals weren't just gonna roll over and die. Still it stings to get off to a hot start today only to have the bullpen blow the lead and see the offense get completely shut down from the middle innings forward.
On the positive(ish) side...had we won today I think we were going to hear an endless feed of oh the Royals are down 0-2. Going to face the possible Cy Young winner who was 15-0 at home and can close it out. That puts an insane amount of pressure on Keuchel and probably motivates the Royals against him.
