This was brought to my attention this morning by someone with first person knowledge.

Something to keep in mind next time I go shooting in the Antarctic or the Saharan Desert.

It happened at the BRPD/EBRSO Range last week so temperatures don't need to be that extreme.

Put another plus in the aimpoint column

4 MOA drift?
Wow, how will I ever compensate.

I'd have to see data on how the weapons were conditioned prior to use on that range. I'll tell you this, neither EOTech or AimPoint passed rough handling tests with respect to maintaining zero. I'm pretty sure impact is more likely than being exposed to temperature extremes at any level of use which. I know it is because getting M68's mounted, properly zeroed, and maintaining their zero is a hell of a chore everytime I conduct weapons qual with this unit. I'd rather use irons.

I read that. Over the range of 160 degrees, Id bet your ammo has more drift than 4 moa.

I prefer the Aimpoints as well.
But FWIW none of the red dot sights are 100% parallax-free. They will be parallax-free at some distance(s), but not at all distances.

I saw it happen at the Ascension Sheriffs range last week as well. Have owned several EoTechs. I prefer Aimpoints.
