Registering out of State Boat Trailer

I purchased a boat in Texas and the trailer came with a bonded title. I'm being told that Louisiana will NOT accept a bonded title for trailers and that I have no options to transfer it into my name. I'm sure someone else has experienced this issue. Any help out there?

I'm not sure about a bonded title but I bought a boat and trailer from alabama and they do not title trailers so I had to go to the omv office in baton Rouge and have a dotD officer inspect it and sign off on it. If I were you I would just do that and then send the papework to the dmv and title and register it here. There has to be a way to do it. Hopefully you can get it done.

I recently registered one from Florida who does not title trailers. I believe they just took the registration.

You can also go to a state police or local police station and have them inspect it.
