"The" Pixies is accepted nomenclature.
Not in the P household. I've ended friendships and denied children desserts over that "accepted nomenclature". Say it right or don't say it at all.

In order to confirm iconicness it has to have "the" in the name. How can something be iconographical if it's just a random assorted group of pixies? It has to be special, exceptional pixies to deserve the coveted iconery.

That's why the word is capitalized. Dumb arse

Bikini Kill has some really good songs but yeah as far as "iconic" goes you'd have to say that's #1
Well, I was going for "best". But the OP does say "iconic". If we're talking strictly iconic, then maybe Bikini Kill's Rebel Girl is the most iconic song. But I'll blast the hell out of Pretend We're Dead.

Nirvana - SLTS is the best example even if it's not the best song. It started everything for grunge.
My favorites:
Soundgarden - Outshined and Rusty Cage
Pearl Jam - Alive and Black
Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike and Say Hello To Heaven
Alice In Chains - Would and Man in the Box

Toadies - possum kingdom is probably my favorite, but SLTS is without a doubt the most iconic, imo

Ok, I'll try... Johnny Reznor Cash-Hurt. Am I doing this right?
But seriously, can't go wrong with anything PJ or Alice in Chains.

"ICONIC"
From Seattle era. SLTS made everyone's ears perk.
Alive is THE RIFF though.
And any AIC song that really uses the harmonizing of Staley and Cantrell.
