Anyone else think it may be time to bench Diarse?

Let me say that I am a big fan, going back to last year's opener when I got to see in person truck that wisconsin defender en route to the go ahead score. However since then, he has done nothing of note, and this year has not been well for him, with no fewer than 4 drops.

with E mich coming to town, this could give Diarse a chance to get right. But I wanted to see what others think.

He keeps dropping passes and it won't matter what we think, he will get benched

we have too much talent at WR to keep someone on the field that isn't performing

Dural had a big drop against Syracuse. Should we bench him too?

Coach Ball will work with Diarse. He is a big target and usually blocks well.

I think Diarse is an asset to the run game while guys like Quinn look to be a liability there. Since the ground game is our bread and butter, Diarse appears to warrant more snaps in non-obvious passing situations.

My question is, where in the world is D.J. Chark? Off the field problems?

I tend to agree with you. Dude can't catch a cold right now. But he's got Brock Huard coming to his rescue and blaming Harris for throwing the ball too hard, so it's really not his fault that he can't catch balls thrown into his hands.

he should be benched but he's a great blocker so he won't be

in the les miles offense catching the ball comes secondary to blocking for fournette

He is struggling at times. Occasional drop, occasional penalty made worse by unlucky timing.

Bench? No. Most of the time he is an excellent blocker (a prime requirement), he's almost un-jammable at LoS because of his strength/size. Now is the time to coach him up and if necessary give him extra drills.

We will need both in Nov, especially the need for quick release passes which getting off the line is critical for both timing and, well, being quick.

He doesn't get enough practice catching passes in live game situations. It's like playing a slow round of golf in which you're waiting on the group in front of you on every shot - so it's tough to develop a rhythm.
