I am as thrilled as everyone else with LF7 and hope that he gets the attempts necessary to win the Heisman on the way to a NC or two. My concern with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" idea, is that waiting until the running game is stifled may not be the most opportune time to work on "fixing it" with the passing game. Mark me in the column with those that hope to develop some timing and confidence in the passing game, before it becomes an absolute necessity. Odds are that it will be necessary before the season is over. For the record, I don't give a crap about the actual number of running yards vs passing yards. I'm more concerned about the confidence of players with the passing game, should it become a necessity. The sacks and drops against Syracuse seem to indicate that additional reps in that area, during game time, might be a reasonable approach

I get what you're saying, but do you honestly think that they aren't working on it at all? I haven't gone to a practice, but I bet they throw it a bunch. Now I also am smart enough to know the difference in practice reps and game reps, but we haven't needed it in the game, and havent been in a comfortable enough lead to "work on things" while not looking like we are trying to run the score up.

That may be the biggest reason we haven't seen it. It is socially unacceptable to throw when you are up, but in a close game we are going to go with the bread and butter. Therefore it looks like run/run.
