Texas looked pretty good, they had some terrible calls go against them. I saw improvement out of the team.

i actually agree, they have shown some improvement.

First thing's first for this team, Heard provides them with a semblance of hope on offense. Now that hope might be faint, but it's something to latch on to. Their offense being run by Watson compared to Norvell is like night and day, same goes for Heard and Swoopes. Their offense can actually put up a fight now compared to last year and this year's ND game.

Defensively is where they've taken a major step back, and that's gotta do with really poor depth and tons of youth at key positions. Malik Jefferson, while he's played well, is gonna look like a freshman more often than not...but you see the potential.

Their hiring of Brick Haley is doing them no favors as well, as the DL performance thus far is seriously poor. It'll get worse once they realize that his recruiting results will mirror his line's on-field performance.

I work with more than a few horn alum that know Strong is behind the 8 ball here, but progress is being made...just not as much as they'd hoped for.

Their next 2 games will be brutal, with TCU and OU looking to put up major points against Bedford's defense. Their only saving grace is that both defenses they are facing are very vulnerable to what Heard does well.

Lose both and they're 1-5 without having played Baylor or Tech - both of which will light up their defense like a goddamn xmas tree.
