Diversity doesn't necessarily mean more crime. For example take a look at Singapore. Very diverse society. Very low crime. Now consider Russia: homogeneous society very high crime. Also while we are discussing the elephant in the room crime doesn't necessarily follow race. Look at a country like Botswana or Ghana, black and very low crime. Take our previous eastern European example and they have high crime in a white country.
