Defense was tired at that point. We stopped throwing at the 2nd quarter; hard to convert 1st downs that way

Our Dline looked gassed in the second half against State. Dak had plenty of time to throw. Our pass D wasn't that great in the second half but it's a team effort to control great QB's like Dak.

Like all the other stats, missing McNeese has everything out of whack right now. Looking at their games, McNeese only threw for 185 yards against Immaculate Word( ) and 139 against Stephen F. Austin. If you give them 100 against us, our ypg average drops to 176, which would have us about 35-38 in the country. Still not exactly what we're used to, but probably a bit more representative of what we're doing and can do going forward.

He is undoubtedly the best QB LSU will face in the regular season.

vibes to Syracuse's starting QB who was knocked out their game this past Saturday, I have not checked to see who is starting but LSU could potentially be going up against a backup. Now I know that means that LSU wont have any film on this guy, but usually, unless you are talking about LSU, the backup is the back up because he is not better than the starter.

Eastern Michigan won its first non-conference road game in 27 years (!!).

by the time LSU goes to play its next SEC opponent, I expect those numbers to look a little different.

Same goes for LSUs passing offense. I expect LSU to really work on finetuning the passing game in two games against considerably less talented competition.
