on Bama's defense.

I'm glad they lost to OM but their dline looks really good. Any thoughts?

I can agree with this but it will be a 2-way street.

And I'll take Bugg over Henry any day.

It will be but I think Les and Co will pass a little more there kind of like in years passed where the game plan shifts for that game.

Then again Auburn's strength on D was supposed to be their run d just like State.

I think we play a bunch of other teams before them.

We were able to run it on them the last few years. Running qb's give them fits. We still have time to work on passing game

their secondary still sucks, Harris will keep them honest, and we will work in a few end around and read options.

Note: that game will likely be low scoring, Bama looks to have some of the same QB problems we have had the last few years.

They basically play 7 defensive tackles. They are slow to get to the outside. Ole Miss just didn't have the running backs to get there.

LSU will be fine. I would expect them to work on the passing game in some of these non-conference games (like they did in yesterday's blowout.) Harris is a little late on some of his throws - that will improve over time.

Also, the biggest frustration to me is their inability to run screen plays to the backs... if they can add this to the arsenal that would make a powerful attack even more powerful. Maybe Drew Brees can drive up to BR and show Harris and Co. how to run a screen.

Just constructive criticism ... hats off to Les and staff for a really great gameplan yesterday, he outcoached the "geniuses," Malzahn and Muschamp

It's a challenge to run on any defense like Bamas, Ole Miss, etc.
Why do you think they provide more of a challenge than any other West opponent ?
With the improvement in our read option, which will get better IMHO, and BH getting more comfortable and in rhythm I anticipate defenses having to change schemes to stop our running game. TIFWIW.......

they key is the variety of runs that we're executing...power, zone read, the rant's favorite short-side option, jet sweeps, counter pitch, etc. It's not just banging into an 8 man front.

Ole Miss has no running game. Period.

I thinkwe'll still get ours because our line is absolutely mauling people right now. That said, if we have the same game plan weve employed so far this year, it's gonna be another 9-6 game.

Ole Miss and Alabama on the road will be very challenging for LSU. The two games I'm most worried about.

We will run on every team we face this yr. as long as we stay healthy. We might not be a effective as we have in our 1st 2 games, but we will be able to run.

Some will want to talk bout how bad they think State/Aub. are, but we abused those 2 SECW teams with the run. I cant recall LSU ever opening up the holes like I saw yesterday.

I am not saying we don't have to get better throwing the ball, but anyone still pissing and moaning cause of our passing yds. is college football mentally challenged.

I would be as much concerned with Ole Miss defense as I would Bama. I understand the they started the wrong QB for the game, but I thought Ole Miss looked pretty dame solid.

Hell, Ole Miss' line looked pretty good.

Nkemdiche is their version of Fournette, except he's on defense.

That's why you'll see plenty of zone read, jet sweeps, QB draws on passing situations and Harris leaving the pocket. This is the formula to beating Alabama....Manziel, Marshall, Trevor Knight, Cardale Jones.....
