You don't have enough craft beer drinkers there. I drink most of my beers out, and I know the bartenders, but I usually don't run into many people I know. And I'm a social guy - I'm always talking to someone at the bar.

You sure do like to compare Portland and the NW to down here a lot. It's pretty much apples and oranges. Like Yeezy said New Olreans isn't a very big place, big city features and problems with a small town vibe. I will disagree with him however on Zwanze day, it's more of a regional event than a local event. Sure you still will get some of the regulars in there but it's nothing like a normal beer event.

Agreed, but usually in my comparisons I try to illustrate what Louisiana can be, because so many comments are negative the craft beer scene in LA. I usually T try to be more positive and offer suggestions, although I can see where that comment may be construed as negative. It doesn't have to be totaiiy apples and oranges.

I see places like CBD opening in BR that really seem to mirror places we have in Portland. Its happening down there. Maybe not as fast as you'd like. I think it takes more craft beer drinkers to create the demand for craft beer bars, but the reverse is true, too. More craft beer spots will help convert people into craft beer drinkers. Which came first, the craft beer, or the craft beer drinker?
